Knox Group Exercise
House Fire
All occupants escaped safely. When crews arrived the kitchen was well alight with smoke issuing from windows and the roof, quick action prevented the fire from spreading into other parts of the house. There was extensive damage to the kitchen with the rest of the house suffering smoke and heat damage.
Horse Float Incident
On Claremont Ave in The Basin this car and horse float (complete with 2 horses, Will & Soverign) were unable to make it up the hill towards Mountain Hwy and with wheels spinning on the wet road started slipping backwards, finally coming to a stop only metres from disaster.
Knox SES were called for their winching expertise and heavy equipment.
